“As a man thinketh, so is he.”

In the Bible, there’s a book attributed to King Solomon. That book is known as the Book of Proverbs. It is a book with thirty-one short chapters yet packed with wisdom! In my opinion, one of the most profound passages found in Proverbs is chapter twenty-three and verse seven.

For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he…” – Proverbs 23:7 KJV

Solomon’s message was simple; we are what we think! We become what we think!

James Allen called the mind a garden. Seeds are the things we see, hear, and the people we are around. Whatever seeds we plant and cultivate, will produce fruit!

So, what seeds are you planting and cultivating in your mind? What is it you that think So, what seeds are you planting and cultivating in your mind? You may ask, does it matter? Yes! Why? It matters because you are what you think!

You may be asking yourself, what should I do? How should I respond?

Here are a few steps you can take.

  1. Ask yourself, “Am I happy with where I am at in life?”
  2. If not, why not?
  3. What do I want to change?
  4. Is what I’m watching, listening to, or who I’m around planting seeds that will take me where I want to go?
  5. If not, change what you’re watching/listening to. Change your circle!
  6. Watch videos of people who are where you want to be. Listen to podcasts. Surround yourself with people who are smarter than you. This practice will plant “good seeds” in your mind to help you grow and produce good fruit.

Because as a man thinks, so is he!
